Sawyer collaborative robot
Sawyer is a revolutionary collaborative robot designed to perform tasks that until now were too difficult or too expensive to be automated by traditional industrial robots. Sawyer is a high-performance automation solution, while providing flexibility in operation and safety, available at an affordable price, in line with the Rethink brand philosophy.
Sawyer has an arm with 7 degrees of reach and a length of 1260mm, able to operate in a small space, intended for the work of human hands. Built-in force sensors allow him to make decisions depending on changing conditions during the execution of tasks, precision work +/- 0.1mm and safe operation next to working people.

Vacuum foam gripper
Vacuum Foam Gripper Kit (VFG): Designed for applications where different sized parts need to be picked or where surfaces are uneven. The kit includes: 1 foam vacuum gripper and analog vacuum sensor for intelligent behaviors. The foam gripper is 80 mm diameter
Vacuum large gripper
Vacuum Large Gripper Kit (VLG): Designed for applications where large and/or multiple parts need to be picked up at the same time. The kit includes assembly for up to 4 G ¼ thread vacuum cups (4 angle clamps, 4 extension tubes, 4 push fittings, 4 bag lip vacuum cups, 4 dual durometer cups), vacuum generator with silencer, and analog vacuum sensor for intelligent behaviors.
Vacuum small gripper
Vacuum Small Gripper Kit (VSG): Designed for applications where the pick surface area may be small and swap time is important. The kit includes assembly for up to 8 M5 thread vacuum cups (8 angle clamps, 8 extension tubes, 8 push fittings, 8 conducting vacuum cups, 8 dual durometer cups), vacuum generator with silencer, and analog vacuum sensor for intelligent behaviors.
Pneumatic large gripper
Pneumatic Large Gripper Kit (PLG): Designed for gripping large parts, as well as picking different sized parts. The kit includes 1 parallel pneumatic gripper, 2 sensors used for open/close/ gripping states, and air regulators for grip speed control.
Pneumatic small gripper
Pneumatic Small Gripper Kit (PSG): Designed for applications where swap time is important, such as CNC machine tending, testing and inspection, and PCB handling. The kit includes: 2 pneumatic grippers and aluminum extrusion, 4 sensors used for open/close gripping states, and air regulators for grip speed control.
The ClickSmart Plate is the cornerstone of the ClickSmart family – its quick release mechanism lets you swap end-effectors in seconds, without using any tools. Embedded memory stores the configuration of the connected end-effector when the ClickSmart Plate is attached to a Sawyer collaborative robot. It immediately recognizes the type of end-effector and knows how to control it. Third party or custom end-effectors can be used with the ClickSmart Plate to leverage its quick release mechanism, I/O control capability, and gripper configuration memory. When building custom end of arm tooling with the ClickSmart Plate, the Universal Adapter Plate will be the main mechanical interface. The M12 connectors are the electrical interface between the ClickSmart Plate and a third-party end-effector.
A user-friendly interface called Intera Studio that allows users to access robot tasks and fine tune details using a laptop. Intera Studio allows you to quickly create, modify and monitor tasks while achieving advanced robot control capabilities.
It provides critical production data directly on the robot and can identify production anomalies before they become a problem. Key performance indicators, such as cycle time and statistics, are available in real time. The same data is also delivered to Intera Studio, providing visibility to other team members.
The double Cognex camera in the robot arm and head allows you to locate objects or check the presence of parts. The vision system is responsible for the positioning of the robot, which looks for changes in the environment and automatically reacts to them. External cameras can be connected to Sawyer easily and quickly, which significantly reduces the typical costs associated with the installation of such systems for other robots.
